Our Practice Nurses have a wealth of experience in managing Chronic Diseases such as Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Hypertension and Cardiovascular Disease. They provide a wide range of services including routine health checks and annual treatment reviews. They are also experienced in other practice nursing specialities such as smear tests, contraception advice, immunisation for babies and adults, travel vaccinations and other routine injections and procedures.

Our Healthcare Assistants perform blood tests, ECGs, Blood Pressure Monitoring, New Patient Checks and smoking cessation advice.

Julie Rowe MCMI 

Julie joined the surgery in January 2021. Julie has worked in Manchester as a Practice Manager in various GP surgeries over the last 21 years. 

The Practice Manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as ensuring the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The Practice Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Care Navigators 

Care Navigators provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Care Navigators make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

CLINICAL PHARMACIST

The role of a clinical pharmacist is to work as part of the General Practice team to provide highly qualified expertise in medications carrying out structured reviews for patients with ongoing health problems and patient safety.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Katie Heywood 

Pharmacy Technicians play an important role within General Practice complementing the work of Clinical Pharmacists. They undertake clinical audits, issue prescriptions and where appropriate provide information to patients and other members of the practice. Pharmacy Technicians are usually supervised by a Clinical Pharmacist as part of the practice team.

FIRST CONTACT PHYSIOTHERAPIST

The role of the first contact physiotherapist is to assess, diagnose and give expert advice on how patients can best manage their conditions. Referring them onto specialist services if
necessary.
